On Thursday, a report from TEAMTalk surfaced that Chelsea could be looking to offload £88 million winger Mykhailo Mudryk. The move would be due to the Premier League side wanting to sell several fringe players in January.
What does this have to do with Paris Saint-Germain? The initial report revealed that Olympique de Marseille are reportedly keen on the player. OM could take a gamble on the Ukrainian to bolster their attack or the final stretch of this season.
The Ligue 1 race early into the 2024-25 season could be a three-horse race with PSG currently in first place with 12 points. However, Olympique de Marseille and AS Monaco are right behind them, each with 10 points.
As a result, Marseille probably want added fire power to keep up with these two other clubs. Nonetheless, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano is putting out the rumors that PSG’s rival will be keen on adding Mudryk in a few months.
“There’s absolutely zero truth in the story that Mykhailo Mudryk wants to leave Chelsea,” Romano said to CaughtOffside for his exclusive Daily Briefing. “Mudryk has not made any decision to leave, and there are no talks taking place with any club.
“Full focus remains on Chelsea and on doing his best under Maresca, while Chelsea also hope to see him at his best soon. So there’s really nothing in this ‘story’ – I don’t even know where this is coming from to be fair.”
