Bayern Munich are set to play Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga fresh off a 9-2 demolition of Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League. Die Werderaner should be a manageable team to beat, and the Bavarians could afford to rest players, but Bayern coach Vincent Kompany isn’t willing to reveal anything.
“We were talking about the crowded schedule and stress on the players,” Kompany emphasized (as captured by X account @iMiaSanMia). “We want to use the whole squad. It would not be possible without every single player. I can’t say whether I will change much tomorrow. The squad is not a luxury, we need it to achieve our goals. Names are not important, the boys should fight for their spot.”
Some players are not surefire starters come this weekend or not cleared to play (like Manuel Neuer), but the Belgian tactician should have enough personnel to see of Marko’s favorite Bundesliga team.
