It’s back to league football and Bayern Munich are riding high after two consecutive landslide victories. Visiting Werder Bremen is usually a tidy affair, but last year Thomas Tuchel messed it up and actually lost to them for the first time in over a decade.
Vincent Kompany has a chance to redeem his team and keep the momentum going. Only thing is, he’s also facing pressure to rotate as well. Which way, coach?
Team news
Nothing new to report, except that Manuel Neuer is questionable for the game after being subbed off at halftime versus Zagreb. Daniel Peretz, Josip Stanišić, Sacha Boey, and Hiroki Ito remain sidelined with injury, while youth team fullback Adam Aznou has been left out of the Bayern II squad this weekend — hinting at a possible berth on the first team squad.

Aleksandar Pavlović and Joshua Kimmich likely continue in midfield, while the defense changes up slightly. Adam Aznou may get a debut at right-back, with Alphonso Davies remaining at left-back. Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-jae retain their usual positions at CB, while Sven Ulreich will slot in if Manuel Neuer is injured.
Here’s what the XI could look like:
