João Palhinha finally broke free from the clutches of Fulham FC and is now at Bayern Munich, but he has not featured as much as people would have hoped for. The Portuguese midfielder himself said that it’s not that big of an issue and that he’s just happy to be with Bayern in the first place.
“I wasn’t disappointed,” Palhinha said (Tz as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia). “I’m at the best club in the world. It’s part of a process. I can be proud”. He also called fellow midfielder Joshua Kimmich a coach and a friend, and that “it’s an honour to play with him” (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Bayern is so stacked in midfield that Leon Goretzka was the one who was sacrificed because he has not featured regularly for the Bavarians. Sure, he might have scored the Rekordmeister’s ninth against Dinamo Zagreb, but it probably won’t mean much for his case of staying.
