After putting up nine goals in the Champions league this week, Bayern Munich added another rout, this time thrashing Werder Bremen in their own stadium, 5-0. The victory ends Bremen’s impressive eight game unbeaten streak in the Bundesliga.
Michael Olise was the man of the match with two goals and two assists while Harry Kane followed up his four-goal outing against Dinamo Zagreb with a goal and two assists of his own. With the game in hand, Kane was even subbed off for the first time this season to provide some minutes for Raumdeuter Thomas Müller.
This marks the eighth consecutive match where Bayern has scored multiple goals. What is Bayern’s secret sauce?
“It’s been a great week. Credit to the boys for the attitude and mentality,” Kane reflected afterwards (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “This is a tough place, Bremen have been unbeaten for a while. The way we play on and off the ball has been great. The squad is being used well, the players are getting fitter, we were still pushing after three, four, five goals and wanted to score another.”
