Bayern Munich may just have found a major transfer coup in Michael Olise.
The 22-year-old, whom the Bavarians plucked out of English Premier League side Crystal Palace, is off to an electric start in Germany — flashing both goal-scoring and assisting abilities coming in from the left flank.
It has certainly caught the eye of fellow former Premier League stalwart Harry Kane, who linked up twice with Olise — supplying and receiving an assist — in last Saturday’s demolition of SV Werder Bremen.
“A fantastic player and a really good guy, he’s enjoying his time here in Munich,” Kane gushed after the Frenchman’s commanding display (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “And what a performance — scored twice and provided two assists, he was a constant threat. He wants to get his numbers up, he wants goals, he wants assists. From the outside you don’t see the real Michael, but inside he’s a really good guy, we’re having a good relationship so far.”
Competition in Bayern’s attacking wings will be fierce, with Leroy Sané progressing in making his injury return and Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry options as well. But Olise is turning heads — and looks like he will be putting on show after show in a Bayern jersey for years to come.
