Cole Palmer’s rise has been astronomical since he arrived at Chelsea from Manchester City last summer and he’s now established himself as one of the best players in the Premier League.
The 22-year-old took the league by storm last season as he scored 22 goals and provided 11 assists, which saw him named Premier League Young Player of the Year.
Despite not starting a single game at Euro 2024, Palmer still made an impact for the Three Lions as he set up Ollie Watkins for the winner in the semi final and scored the equaliser against Spain in the final.
The task facing Palmer this season is can he replicate or even better that form and early evidence suggests it would be mad to bet against him.
His four goals against Brighton took him to six goals and four assists in the first six games of the season, with only Erling Haaland scoring more than him so far this campaign.
In fact as per Sofascore Football Palmer’s four goals on Saturday now mean he has the most goal involvements in Europe’s top five leagues in 2024 (31) putting him ahead of the likes of Haaland, Harry Kane and Robert Lewandowski, which is remarkable.
It just further highlights the superb form he’s in and how meteoric his rise has been in such a short space of time considering before the start of last season he hadn’t scored a single Premier League goal.
