Jhon Duran assumed the role of super sub once again.
The Aston Villa striker scored his fifth goal off the bench this season – four of which proved to be match-winning strikes – with an immense first-time lob over Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer on Wednesday.
The 1-0 victory was a repeat scoreline of Aston Villa’s 1982 European Cup final triumph over Bayern Munich in 1982. The Birmingham club is perfect after two matches in the Champions League’s new “league phase” after its opening 3-0 stroll past Young Boys.
