Chelsea have had a good start to the season under Enzo Maresca and one player who’s made an impressive start to life at Stamford Bridge is Jadon Sancho.
Sancho arrived on deadline day on an initial loan deal from Manchester United, which will become permanent for around £25m as long as Chelsea don’t finish in the bottom six of the Premier League.
The 24-year-old was somewhat of a surprise signing given how many options Chelsea already had in the wide areas, but early evidence suggests it could be a very good piece of business.
Sancho has seemingly nailed down the left wing spot in Maresca’s strongest team and he’s put in a series of impressive performances.
The move to Chelsea is very much a fresh start and a chance for Sancho to get his career back on track after a difficult spell at United.
The England international has hit he ground running and after a man of the match debut against Bournemouth in which he assisted Christopher Nkunku he went on to register an assist against both West Ham and Brighton.
Sancho couldn’t make it four assists in four games against Forest, but it looks like he’s starting to get back to his best and that is demonstrated by one stat.
As per Whoscored, Sancho ranks second in the Premier League behind Mohammed Kudus for most successful dribbles per game this season.
Chelsea will be hoping Sancho continues this form because if he can get back to what he was doing at Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea will not only have a top player but also an absolute bargain.
