PSG are considering a move for Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram.
This according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.com. They report that the 27-year-old has a release clause well in excess of €80 million, but that the French giants are seriously considering triggering it.
Thuram made the move to Inter last summer.
The Frenchman joined the Nerazzurri on a free transfer. He did so after his contract with Borussia Monchengladbach had expired.
The Nerazzurri took advantage of the fact that Thuram’s contract with Borussia Monchengladbach expired at the end of last June.
Thuram certainly wasn’t the first player who Inter have signed on a free transfer.
But the Frenchman has proven to be one of the Nerazzurri’s major coups in that department.
Thuram was outstanding in his first season at Inter. He played a big role as the Nerazzurri won the Serie A title, by a margin of nearly twenty points.
And the 27-year-old just looks to be kicking on from that in his second campaign with the club.
Thuram is currently joint top of the Serie A scoring charts with Atalanta’s Mateo Retegui. He has scored an eye-watering seven goals in his last seven matches.
PSG Keeping Tabs On Inter Striker Marcus Thuram – Release Clause In Excess Of €80M
Inevitably, Thuram’s form has attracted some transfer interest.
And according to Calciomercato.com, one of the Frenchman’s major suitors is PSG.
The Parisians had tried to bring Thuram to the French capital in 2022. However, he instead chose to accept Inter’s offer.
But that doesn’t mean that Thuram has fallen off the French champions’ radar.
Far from it. According to Calciomercato.com, PSG are continuing to follow Thuram closely, plotting a potential move.
Naturally, Thuram would not come cheap.
Like with Andre Onana, the Nerazzurri would expect a massive fee despite the fact that Thuram arrived for nothing.
According to Calciomercato.com, though, there is a release clause in Thuram’s contract with Inter.
That clause stipulates a fee over €80 million. In fact, it would be closer to €90 million.
But the Italian outlet reports that PSG would seriously considering paying the fee to trigger that clause.
