Victor Osimhen was linked to Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain for most of the summer transfer window.
Nonetheless, neither pulled the trigger on a deal to secure him from Napoli. As a result, a temporary solution was reached as the 25-year-old joined Galatasaray, where he’s proving to suitors that he’s a top No. 9.
So far, Osimhen is off to a good start this season with the Turkish side, recording two goals and four assists in four total appearances.
Currently, at Galatasaray with a salary of €6 million for the current season, Osimhen may not stay there for long. A clause in his loan deal allows him to leave the club as early as this winter, and several teams, including Chelsea, are reportedly interested in a January transfer, according to Corriere dello Sport (h/t Sport.fr).
Galatasaray is also hoping to extend his stay by signing the striker permanently. Discussions are ongoing for now, and the situation is still developing.
Moreover, Osimhen recently noted that clubs shouldn’t shy away from paying a high price for him.
“I am worth over €100 million,” Osimhen said. “There are few players in the world like me, who have reached such style and success. It all relates to my characteristics, what I do, and my quality.”
