Paris Saint-Germain’s signing of Randal Kolo Muani seemed like a great move at first, bringing in a talented French player in his prime. However, things haven’t gone as planned, and there are now suggestions that the player seeks a fresh start with a manager who believes in him at the club level.
Recent reports have linked Kolo Muani to Manchester United, with claims that the club is closely monitoring his situation and is prepared to make a €70 million bid to bring him to Old Trafford.
According to CaughtOffside, while the Red Devils are keen on signing Kolo Muani, it’s unlikely he will be available during the January transfer window.
With uncertainty surrounding Kolo Muani’s future, RMC Sport’s Emmanuel Petit has called for the player to find a fresh start elsewhere. He believes a new environment could help reignite Kolo Muani’s career, as he feels manager Luis Enrique isn’t providing the confidence he needs.
“Kolo Muani just doesn’t seem to have confidence anymore,” Petit said (h/t Le10Sport). “Since joining PSG, it’s been one setback after another—sitting on the bench while others get the minutes. At some point, players need to feel trusted.
“Most players thrive on that emotional support and the confidence they’re given. Right now, the only person showing him that confidence is Didier Deschamps.”
