Chelsea have had a very good start to the season under Enzo Maresca and one stat in particular has highlighted their improvement.
The Blues have taken 14 points from a possible 21 under the Italian and are the second highest scorers in the division with 16 goals, one behind Manchester City.
Maresca has been able to make an immediate impact and already at this early stage you can see the Blues have a clear identity and style of play forming.
Despite scoring a lot of goals last season the Blues did miss a lot of chances and there’s certainly been an improvement in that regard at the start of the season.
Nicolas Jackson’s finishing looks like it’s improved as has that of Noni Madueke’s and as per Whoscored the Blues actually have the highest shot conversion rate in the Premier League this season (16.6%) tied with Brentford.
That certainly bodes well for the Blues given the attacking quality they have and scoring goals is unlikely to be a problem this season, but they have certainly become more efficient in front of goal which will be a huge plus, especially in the big games where there might not be as many chances.
