Tottenham Hotspur and Ange Postecoglou have had ample injury concerns to deal with in the 2024/25 campaign, and among a whole lot of concerns, Brazil international Richarlison has been ever present in the injury room. His consistent injury problems are starting to become a concern for Spurs faithful as well as chiefs in the cubicles at Hotspur Way.
Following a prolonged absence, the former Everton star was set to return for Spurs when they face West Ham next weekend; however, injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar suggests otherwise. He insists that Richy would not be available when the Lilywhites host the Hammers.
He suggests that his injury appeared to be a serious one, and Tottenham will have to take more than just multiple training sessions to pass him fit for the game on 19 October.
Expert predicts Richarlison absence
Discussing Richarlison, his injury, and a potential return, Dr. Brar said in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News:
“Difficult to say if he’s on track to return right after the break as it all depends on what’s going on behind the scenes. Based on what Ange said on September 19 – stop asking until I give an update – I imagine that he’s still somewhat away from returning from what seems to be a serious concern.
“Unless he’s back in training over the coming days, I think he’s likely to miss the next game.“

The Brazilian has looked underwhelming since he moved to White Hart Lane. After failing to barely replicate his Everton form at Spurs, the Lilywhites supporters are calling him to be shown the door in the next transfer window.
For Richy, he would be hoping to put behind his injury woes and show his capabilities in front of goal when he returns. Though for now, his availability still remains a concern going into the weekend fixture, and even if he is passed fit, it is difficult to see the Brazilian ace starting over Dominic Solanke as the focal point of offence for some time now.
