One big omission from Germany’s October call-ups to the men’s national team? Bayern Munich star winger Leroy Sané.
The 28-year-old is downright unplayable on his day, but after running himself into the ground last season under Thomas Tuchel, Sané is still working his way back to full fitness. Once he does that, his way back to Julian Nagelsmann’s squad should be clear — according to a report from Az journalist Maximilian Koch:
#DFBTeam @Abendzeitung

Then again playing time at Bayern has not gotten easier to come by, fit or not. Michael Olise’s emergence and Serge Gnabry’s resurgence under Vincent Kompany could complicate Sané’s hopes of returning to the national team fold.
