Manchester United are imploding early in the 2024-25 season as the Red Devils are in 14th place in the Premier League table. If this form continues could the Premier League side blow this entire project under manager Erik ten Hag and start over?
One player that could be available should these struggles continue is Marcus Rashford. The Englishman has scored four goals and recorded two assists in 11 appearances across all competitions.
Rashford is under contract until 2028, but next summer could be the time to cash out on the player so that both sides can have a fresh start.
TEAMTalk reported on Tuesday that PSG have renewed their interest in Rashford, but the hurdles blocking a summer transfer for the winger remain in place. Moreover, the reporting reveals that the Ligue 1 team are still considering swooping for Rashford next year.
Ten Hag has publicly stated that Rashford remains a key part of the club’s project and has no plans to sell him. However, if the Dutchman goes before this season is over, it could be an opening for PSG to revisit their interest in Rashford.
Many believe a fresh start could be good for Rashford, but with his £325,000-a-week contract, the Manchester-born player seems unlikely to be moving on anytime soon.
