Bayern Munich played against two of their loanees this week — Alexander Nübel on the men’s team and Karólína Lea Vilhjálmsdóttir. Both went well for the parent club and saw the loanee’s team lose. See what else Bayern’s loanees were up to this week:
FC Bayern Munich
There are nine players on loan from the first team.
Germany – Bundesliga
There are five players on loan in the German Bundesliga: Alexander Nübel, Franz Krätzig, Paul Wanner, and Armando Sieb.
Alexander Nübel – VfB Stuttgart
Nübel started against his parent club on Saturday and had a good first half, but then the wheels fell off and Harry Kane came into ruin the homecoming. Although he had six saves on the day, Bayern’s six goals kind of overshadow anything good that he did. His passing was also pretty abysmal.
Franz Krätzig – VfB Stuttgart
Krätzig was not on the matchday squad for his return to Munich. He was not on the injury list, so hopefully it is just load management after international duty.
Stuttgart will travel to Italy to take on Juventus in the Champions League on Tuesday. They will return to league play with a home game against Holstein Kiel.
Paul Wanner – 1.FC Heidenheim
Wanner had a bit of a let off after his performance with Germany’s U21s which yielded a goal. He played 68 minutes for Heidenheim at Monchengladbach. He only had one shot — which was blocked — and created one chance for his team to shoot. He also only completed eight of twelve passes attempted. Heidenheim fell 3-2.
Heidenheim travel to Cyprus to face Pafos FC in the Conference League on Thursday. They will host Hoffenheim on Sunday.
Armando Sieb – 1. FSV Mainz 05
Sieb started for Mainz at home against RB Leipzig and played 59 minutes. He had four shots — one on target, one that missed, and two that were blocked. Like SIeb, the rest of the Mainz squad was unable to get anything past the RB keeper and they fell 2-0.
Gabriel Vidović – 1. FSV Mainz 05
Vidović was on the bench to start the match and did not make it onto the pitch until the 87th minute. He had one shot that was blocked and completed all six of his passes, but ultimately was unable to influence the match.
Mainz will host Gladbach on Friday.
Spain – LaLiga
Bryan Zaragoza is the only player on loan to Spain’s LaLiga.
Bryan Zaragoza – CA Osasuna
Zaragoza started and played most of the match for Osasuna. He had three shots — one on goal from outside the box, one that missed wide, and one blocked. He also created four chances for his teammates to shoot, but none of them ended up in the back of the goal. Real Betis proved to be the better team on the day, winning by a narrow 2-1.
Osasuna will travel to take on Real Sociedad on Sunday.
Austria – Bundesliga
Lovro Zvonarek is the only player from the first team on loan to the Austrian Bundesliga.
Lovro Zvonarek – Sturm Graz

Zvonarek entered the match in the 85th minute when his team was already up 5-2. He tried to get into the scoring fun, but his lone shot went just over the bar. The match ended with the 5-2 score line to keep Sturm Graz at the top of the table.
Sturm Graz will host Sporting CP on Tuesday in the Champions League. They will travel to face LASK when they return to league play on Sunday.
Germany – 2. Bundesliga
Maurice Krattenmacher is the only player from the first team on loan to the 2. Bundesliga
Maurice Krattenmacher – SSV Ulm 1846

Ulm will travel to face Darmstadt on Sunday.
Germany – 3. Liga
Gibson Nana Adu is the only player on loan from the first team in the 3. Liga.
Gibson Nana Adu – Unterhaching
Unterhaching hosted 1860 Munich — who had the shortest road trip of the matchday, with just a five kilometer trip. Adu started on the bench and saw most of the game play out before he was called on. Both teams traded goals twice, so by the time he came into the match in the 90th minute, it was level at 2-2. Nothing would change and the local rivals split the points.
Unterhaching will travel to face Alemannia Aachen on Sunday.
FC Bayern Munich II
There are twelve players on loan from the second team.
Germany – 2. Bundesliga
Hyun-ju Lee is the only player from the second team loaned out to the 2. Bundesliga

His most audacious attempt came right before halftime when he took a shot from his own half of the field on a counter. Just like his other three attempts, it was nowhere close to the goal. On a positive note, he misplayed just one pass on the day, recording a 94% completion rate. Lee came off in the 70th minute and saw his team see out the 1-0 home win.

Schneller started in goal for Schweinfurt away to FC Würzburger Kickers. He was able to keep a clean sheet through the first half, but then a teammate received a second yellow card and they had to play the final 32 minutes. Schneller was able to hold his opponents to just one goal. Unfortunately, that was not enough to earn three points , as they fell 1-0.
Schewinfurt play twice this week: a home match against DJK Vilzing. They will completed the week with a trip to face FC Augsburg II on Friday.
Marko Popović – Türkgücü München
Popović was on the bench for Türkgücü’s 3-1 win over FC Nürnberg II, but did not make it onto the pitch.

Benedikt Wimmer – Wupertaler SV
Wimmer started for Wupertaler SV against Köln II an played the full 90 minutes. He helped keep his team in the match by holding them to just two goals and even had a chance to equalize when their opponents went down to ten men. However, no one was able to score, and Wupertaler fell 2-1.
