Bayern Munich still want to strengthen their center-back group even with Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-jae performing up to standard and with new signing Hiroki Ito on his way back from injury. Jonathan Tah flirted with the Bavarians over the summer, but the move never came to be, and now his options have grown:
Jonathan Tah is still determined to leave Bayer Leverkusen on a free transfer next summer. However, his agreement with FC Bayern no longer stands. There are now serious doubts in Tah’s entourage as to whether a move to Munich would be the right step for him at all. What happened last summer during the negotiations for Tah has left its mark. Tah’s decision is once again completely open. As a free agent next year, the German international now has very interesting options abroad. Bayern is still one of the options, but they’re no longer the absolute favourites.

Bayern is probably better off looking at someone else or call up an academy player, and they’d save some money too (which seems to be the unspoken rule at the club).
