With Michael Olise, Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman, and Leroy Sané all available at the wing position to face FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany has plenty of options to choose from.
So far, the coach has favored Olise and Gnabry, but the talent level at the position could make it difficult from week-to-week for anyone to establish a stronghold as there will be no room for error.
When asked if he has a “pecking order” at the position, Kompany declined to answer, but did say that he keeps an open line of communication with all of this players.
“I speak with all my players, always try to be honest with everyone, not make things too complicated with who plays and who doesn’t. We’ll need all the players. The season will be a long one. There’s always more games,” Kompany.
No doubt, but it does feel like a matter of time before a player or two becomes dissatisfied with his role. To add more fuel to the fire, Kompany could also use Jamal Musiala at wing if really had the desire, but the coach has been reluctant to use the Germany international at wing so far.
