Bayern Munich will be reeling from their 4-1 humiliation against FC Barcelona in the Champions League. This speaks volumes of what Vincent Kompany is doing with the team, and it isn’t pretty. Believe it or not, though, someone still believes in the team.
And that someone is Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl.
“We believe in what we’re doing, and we will continue to defend what we are doing,” Max Eberl said after match (as captured by Sky Sport DE journalist Kerry Hau). Bayern sit 23rd on the 32-team table, with automatic qualification already looking like a big ask of the battered Bavarians.
Is Eberl right? Are the Bavarians still in good shape, in spite of it all? The Rekordmeister take on Bochum next in the Bundesliga. Even if they do win that game, folks will not be forgetting this huge loss in Europe soon, Kompany needs to do something to fix that.
