Mohamed Salah has become one of the world’s best players and is now in the top five of Liverpool’s top goalscorers ever.
The Egyptian superstar moved to Anfield from Roma for £37million in June 2017 and has gone from strength to strength since.
He scored an incredible 44 goals in his first season with the Reds and scored the opener in their Champions League final win over Tottenham in the 2018/19 season.
He has since taken his tally for the club to well over 200 goals and is eyeing plenty more.
As such, Reds fans often belt out his name around their famous stadium.
The most common of the Salah songs, The Egyptian King, was first played at pubs around Anfield after their 4-3 win over Manchester City in January 2018.
To the tune of ‘Oh Sit Down’ by James, the song’s lyrics are:
“Mo Salah! Mo Salah! Mo Salah! Running down the wing.
“Mo Salah la-la-la la-ahh, The Egyptian King!”
A newer Salah chant, I’ll be Muslim too, was given the seal of approval by the star winger.
Sung to Dodgy’s ‘Good Enough’, the lyrics are:
“If he’s good enough for you, he’s good enough for me.
“If he scores another few, then I’ll be Muslim too.
“If he’s good enough for you, he’s good enough for me.
“Sitting in the mosque, that’s where I wanna be!
“Mo Salah-la-la-la, la-la-la-la-la-la-la.”
Another popular Salah chant has been put to the tune of ‘You Are My Sunshine’ and goes:
“Mohamed Salah, a gift from Allah.
“He came from Roma to Liverpool.
“He’s always scoring, it’s almost boring.
“So please don’t take Mohamed away.”
