Two Chelsea players have been named as the ultimate team mates by a Chelsea reporter on the side lines at Stamford Bridge yesterday.
The Blues beat Newcastle United in their Premier League match and gained an all important three points to keep the pressure up on the race for top four.
Sources: The ‘leaders’ impressing Enzo Maresca’s staff at Cobham, plus the inside details on Josh Acheampong’s contract situation!
Many people wouldn’t have even placed Chelsea in a top four race at the start of this season, but here they are, within reach and well in the chasing pack early doors after nine games played.
The season is long of course, but winning games like this at home to Newcastle is vital and perhaps something and a game that they would not have seen over the line last season.
Goals came from Nicolas Jackson, who grabbed the first early doors, and then of course, from that man Cole Palmer who was absolutely superb all game, including his pre-assist, if there is such thing, for Jackson’s opening goal.
Chelsea are a team
The team spirit has also been a big difference for Chelsea this season and it is clear to see a real togetherness and a fight from them all. The group looks very strong and very close, and this is something that will help when the times get tougher as the season goes on.
Chelsea report Rahman Osman was at the game watching from the side lines, and he noticed two ultimate team mates for Chelsea.
In his article for London World today, Osman wrote:
‘Tosin and Veiga are the ultimate teammates: Tosin Adarabioyo’s is always encouraging and pushing players on, but one thing he and Renato Veiga did that was especially nice to see was that when VAR disallowed Palmer’s first goal for offside, they were the first two players on the bench to clap for the team, urging them to keep going and not drop their heads.’
