Tottenham Hotspur have enjoyed a splendid summer transfer window, and they have been planning on a way where the Lilywhites can gain marginal advantage in the upcoming 2025 transfer intervals as Daniel Levy and his team get down to business once again.
The Lilywhites have been potent with not only the incomings but also the outgoings to ensure that the surplus at White Hart Lane has been cleared. Midfielder was one of the areas in the Spurs roster where the Lilywhites lost multiple players without needed replacements, and Ange Postecoglou would be looking to add new faces in the middle of the park when the transfer window reopens.
Denmark boss backs Hjulmand for Premier League move amid Spurs interest
Spurs have been subject to links with a move for midfielder Morten Hjulmand, with his national team coach backing a possible move to Premier League heavyweights, insisting that the 25-year-old has all the qualities to succeed in the English top tier. Denmark head coach Brian Riemer knows a thing or two about the Premier League following his stint serving as an assistant to Thomas Frank at Brentford.
Riemer insists that Hjulmand has all the qualities that make him an ideal Premier League midfielder, complemented by his leadership and communication, that could be ideal for a team like Tottenham.
Speaking in an interview with O Jogo (as relayed by Sport Witness), Brian Riemer said:

“I spent two years in the Premier League and I think he has the necessary qualities to play for the six/seven best clubs in the English league. Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City… At a certain point in his career, I believe he will arrive at one of these teams.
“His character, his leadership, his personality, his communication are not very common in today’s football, and I was at many clubs, in Copenhagen, Brentford, and Anderlecht.
“It reminds us of the defensive midfielders of the past, who controlled the entire game, who led the teams, you don’t see that much nowadays. It’s something rare that Hjulmand has. I’m a big fan of his, I think we’ve only seen the tip of the iceberg with Hjulmand.”
Tottenham has a need for not only a new midfielder but also someone with leadership capabilities on the pitch, something that they have lost in abundance in that dressing room off late. That being said, they would have to negotiate a difficult transfer with Sporting Lisbon given the fact that Hjulmand is tied with the Portuguese club till 2028.
