A Chelsea player has officially been nominated for October’s Premier League Player of the Month award.
The news has been confirmed via the official Chelsea website just now, and it will come as no surprise at all to see which player it has who is nominated.
EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea pick main candidate for new full back transfer pursuit!
Cole Palmer has taken the footballing world by storm since he arrived at Stamford Bridge from Manchester City a couple of seasons back now. He has had everyone around the world doing his ‘cold’ celebration, and he has quickly become a household name in football.
So it’s not a shock to see that he has been nominated once again for a Player of the Month award in the Premier League, and if he manages to win this one, it would be his second in a row that he wins.
Palmer deserves it
The England international has worked hard to get where he is and he has really become the Chelsea talisman since he joined the club.
Without Palmer, things would have been so much worse for Chelsea last season under Mauricio Pochettino. The goals and assist numbers that Palmer produces is just ridiculous, and there aren’t many attacking midfielders out there who can produce such numbers of a consistent basis.
Palmer deserves to win October POTM because really, I don’t see any other player who has even got close to Palmer this month, and it was the same for September as well.
There will be competition, but I am sure with the confidence that Palmer has that he will be fully believing he will win another POTM award.
Chelsea will be hoping that Palmer’s incredible form will continue, but I am also sure that they would like to see some more of their players in the nominations for these too now!
