West Ham United attacker Crysencio Summerville was one of the only players to leave the pitch with his head held high against Everton.
Crysencio Summerville has actually been one of the most exciting players for West Ham over the past few weeks.
West Ham didn’t deserve anything more than a draw against Everton.
Amazingly though, the Hammers owners believe we were unlucky not to win the game in the end!
You couldn’t make it up could you.
Julen Lopetegui was to blame for that embarrassing showing at the London Stadium on Saturday.
I actually felt sorry for Summerville – he deserved to be on the winning team after his exceptional display.
Unfortunately though, he was let down by his teammates, and his manager as well as far as I’m concerned.
Crysencio Summerville opens up on West Ham’s half-time team-talk
The flying Dutchman was really the only positive from Saturday’s drab performance against Everton as far as I’m concerned.
I can’t see how Lopetegui is charismatic enough to lift the players when they’re down.
This current group of players seem to revert back into their shells when the going gets tough, and that’s obviously a big problem.
Summerville highlighted how Lopetegui tried to lift the boys at half-time during our clash with Everton, as quoted by WHUFC.com.
The winger said, “At half-time the manager [Julen Lopetegui] said we were playing like we were a bit afraid, and we weren’t sure why, but in the second half we were much more like ourselves.“
I’m sorry, but if the players really were afraid, that all stems down from the gaffer.
In fairness, they all look like they’re playing with shackles around their ankles.
Not only has Lopetegui got no idea what he’s doing, but it seems like he has also sapped the confidence from the players.
Crysencio Summerville probably didn’t mean anything by his comments about Lopetegui’s half-time team-talk, but West Ham fans will be worried by them nonetheless.
There will be some dark times ahead for us, unless the Hammers board decide to move Lopetegui on.
