The two up and coming crunch Premier league matches between West Ham United and Newcastle United, first, and then Arsenal, would seem to be just that. It appears that plans are well advanced now to follow David Sullivan’s M.O. of having a successor in the wings before jumping in to fire his head coach JulenLopetegui, who, to survive, needs to avoid losing heavily in both games. A tall order bearing in mind the 0-0 bore draw against lowly Everton.
Edin Terzic, the former assistant manager At West Ham under Slaven Bilic, is reported to have had a conversation with technical director Steidten in the last few weeks according to the claim in tbrfootball.com:“Steidten – Director of Football at West Ham – is believed to have already made contact with Terzic in recent weeks, and the German is free to be hired at any time after leaving Borussia Dortmund at the end of last season.”
In addition apparently, the same other shortlisted names are still under consideration: “TBR Football understand Roger Schmidt, Sebastian Hoeness and Kasper Hjulmand are also under consideration at West Ham by Steidten – who considered a move for Endrick from Real Madrid.”
Hoeness as an outside bet and Terzic do seem to be getting most traction at present. Hammers’ fans and Claret and Hugh readers comments’ would suggest most are pretty positive about either option!
