Tottenham’s next Premier League game is against Manchester City
Tottenham Hotspur are back in the Premier League after a fortnight of international break and their next fixture in the English top flight seems them take on Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. The two giants go head-to-head on matchday 12 on Saturday, November 23rd.
Spurs have lost two of their previous matches in all competitions but their run is still not as bad as City’s, who have four defeats on the bounce against their name. Two motivated sides will go toe-to-toe in a bid to usurp one another to three very vital points over the weekend.
Team News
Manchester City
Manchester City have a lengthy list of absentees, part of which has contributed to their recent slump. Rodri, Oscar Bobb and Jeremy Doku are certainly going to miss out, while there are doubts over Ruben Dias, John Stones and Phil Foden.
Jack Grealish, Kevin De Bruyne and Manuel Akanji are back in training, however, and will be in contention to feature for Pep Guardiola’s side. Erling Haaland will also look to break his run of relatively poor form when he faces Tottenham on Saturday.
PREDICTED MAN CITY XI (4-3-3): Ederson; Walker, Akanji, Ake, Gvardiol; Kovacic, Lewis, De Bruyne; Bernardo, Haaland, Grealish
Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur are certain to miss Rodrigo Bentancur, who is serving the first of a seven-match ban imposed across domestic competitions by the FA. Richarlison, Wilson Odobert and Micky van de Ven are certain to miss too due to injuries, while Cristian Romero’s participation is also very doubtful.
Offensively, there will be little rotation as Son Heung-min, a man who loves facing Manchester City, will start, alongside Dominic Solanke and Brennan Johnson in offence.
PREDICTED TOTTENHAM XI (4-3-3): Vicario; Porro, Dragusin, Davies, Udogie; Kulusevski, Sarr, Maddison; Johnson, Solanke, Son
Match-deciding duel
Kyle Walker vs Son Heung-min
Son Heung-min has a formidable record against Manchester City, which he must add to if Tottenham Hotspur are to win at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday. The South Korean international will go head-to-head with Kyle Walker, a player who is not in the best of form.
The two players know each other very well, but this time around, Son will start with the upper hand having had a productive international break as well. His runs in behind can hurt Man City and Walker in particular, so it will be a duel that will heavily influence the match.

Prediction
Manchester City 3-1 Tottenham
Tottenham Hotspur will be beaten for a third time in a row against a Manchester City that is out to seek vindication. Without two of their main central defenders, it is incredibly difficult to foresee them beating the Citizens, especially on hostile territory.
