For those Bayern Munich fans hoping to get a glimpse of Daniel Peretz against FC Augsburg later today, you will probably be disappointed.
According to the latest reports, Manuel Neuer has (at least temporarily) overcome his rib ailment and will be ready to go against FC Augsburg in the Bundesliga later today.
Bild (via @iMiaSanMia) had the initial report:
Manuel Neuer was able to complete the warm-up with the team this morning and no longer had any rib problems. He’s fit for tonight’s game.
Bild journalist Heiko Niedderer phrased it a little bit differently on his X account as you will notice:
Manuel Neuer will be in goal against Augsburg today despite rib problems! #FCBayern
Whatever the case, Neuer is expected to get the starting nod.
