Well, what a performance that was from West Ham United against Newcastle United tonight.
Julen Lopetegui got a performance and a result from his West Ham players when he needed it the most.
Before the game, there was talk of Lopetegui getting the sack, but the Spaniard answered his critics emphatically with a tactical masterclass against Newcastle.
That was the best performance I have seen from the Hammers in quite some time, perhaps even all year.
It was actually a real shock to see our players looking so sharp. They all looked quicker and fitter than they have done all season.
There were numerous top-class performances from the West Ham players.
However, one stood out in my eyes.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka stats for West Ham vs Newcastle
What a brilliant display it was from everyone involved tonight.
However, one man stood out in my book.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka scored his first goal for the Hammers tonight, and his all-round performance was truly sensational.
Lopetegui has been using him as a really highly advanced wing-back this season, but he seemed to operate as more of an orthodox full-back against the Toon.
The 26-year-old West Ham right-back made three tackles, two interceptions, one block and four clearances. He had 78 touches of the football and registered a pass completion rate of 85.1% (Who Scored).
And he scored our all important second goal of course.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka kept the likes of Anthony Gordon and Harvey Barnes quiet all game long.
The former Manchester United defender is a sensational player, and he has already proven to be an exceptional addition to our ranks.
Wan-Bissaka’s stats for West Ham against Newcastle tonight were truly outstanding, and crucially, he passed the eye test as well.
Magnificent stuff from the 26-year-old.
