Southampton talent Tyler Dibling is on the radar of Tottenham
Tottenham Hotspur are creating an exciting squad under Ange Postecoglou by adding young talents with vast potential. By signing the likes of Lucas Bergvall, Archie Gray and Wilson Odobert earlier this year, they have enhanced their pool of young talents at N17.
The North Londoners have been looking to increase the depth in wide areas as Ange Postecoglou is light on right-wing options, with Brennan Johnson the only senior star. The Greek-Australian tactician has to find a profile of a player who can cover and compete with Johnson on the right flank.
According to former Manchester United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, Tottenham are among several clubs keeping a close eye on the development of Southampton talent Tyler Dibling ahead of a potential summer swoop.
He has insisted that the Saints’ relegation could force the club to sell their academy starlet, who was scouted by a host of Premier League outfits during their game against Liverpool at St Mary’s Stadium last weekend.
“He’s attracting a lot of interest,” Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider.
“Nearly every club in the Premier League have been keeping an eye on his performances this season because he’s a very talented young player.
“They’re assessing just how good they think he is, and many of them have had scouts watching him.
“After that game against Liverpool, I’m told they like what they see. f Southampton go down, chances are they’ll have to sell some players.
“The way the financial rules are at the moment, relegation can be very costly. I think we saw that with Leeds and Leicester last year.
“With Dibling attracting interest, he may well be one they look to cash in on if a good offer arrives.
“Don’t get me wrong, they’ll be keen to keep him at the club, he’s a product of their academy and a very good one at that. But with interest building, relegation from the Premier League might force them to sell.”
In what’s been a largely miserable return to the Premier League for Southampton, Tyler Dibling has been a rare shining light in Russell Martin’s side. The winger shone once again albeit in Southampton’s bitter 3-2 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday. Tottenham had scouts to watch the youngster in action against the Reds, with a 2025 move in sights.
Dibling has featured in all 12 of the Saints’ Premier League games, starting seven and scoring once. The teenage prodigy has a contract at the St. Mary’s Stadium until 2026 (Transfermarkt), although Russell Martin’s club have an option to activate a one-year extension, putting them in a solid negotiating position.

As for Spurs, Big Ange has provided young talents with the opportunities to impress in the first team, including exciting academy starlet Mikey Moore. However, with so many clubs keen on Dibling, it will be challenging for the Lilywhites to secure the 18-year-old’s signature.
So, for the North London club to compete for the Southampton whizkid, Daniel Levy must offer the Exeter-born winger a clear pathway to first-team football, be it either as an alternative to Johnson or in a rotational role.
