Despite the horrid outcome for Bayern Munich, the DFB-Pokal clash against Bayer Leverkusen had just about everything. Two great teams going head to head, energetic fans, an incredible choreo, a red card for Manuel Neuer and incredible drama all made for a spectacular game. Therefore, it may have been easy to forget that Neuer’s sending off allowed Daniel Peretz to play 70 minutes of the tie in just his 3rd ever appearance for the club.
Therefore, despite the result, Peretz had a good time:
“It was a great feeling to play for this great club and to do so in front of these fantastic fans,” Peretz explained, via FCBayern.com. “I really enjoyed it. We gave everything and the fans gave us amazing support. We were dominant, so it’s a shame that it wasn’t enough. I tried to give the best performance I could. I always give it my all to keep improving.”
