Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison has been speculated with a move away from White Hart Lane given his inconsistencies at N17, with the former Everton ace only managing to pull up in the Lilywhites badge for 88 minutes in the English top tier this season.
The Brazilian has suffered problems staying fit, and when fit, making an impact since moving to North London in a highly anticipated transfer that set back Spurs £60m of the king’s finest in 2022.
Richy had been subject to links with a move to the Saudi Pro League in the previous summer transfer window; however, he somehow managed to avoid the summer overhaul and find a way to stay at Hotspur Way. Though not for long, as John Wenham, owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose, insists that Daniel Levy will be looking to cut ties with the 27-year-old in 2025.
Saudi to knock on Tottenham doors again for Richarlison?
The podcast host believes that a club from the Saudi Pro League could come out with a probable £60 million offer to take away Richarlison from Spurs books. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, Wenham said:
“When he is fit and available, I really like Richarlison. I think he is a good player who could contribute a lot to the team, especially considering how versatile he is. However, for whatever reason, he isn’t ever available for selection.
“He can’t seem to get himself fit to consistently play football matches. Therefore, I think it is time for him to be sold. In terms of clubs that might be interested, if it is in the Saudi market, Spurs could recover what they paid for him, and receive an offer of £60m.”
Richy’s time at N17 is looking increasingly uncertain at the moment, especially given how he has been struggling to find consistency on the pitch and remain fit and the fact that he is yet to live up to expectations despite his hefty fee pushes conversations for a probable move away.
For Tottenham, it looks like moving him on would be a necessary step in streamlining the squad, especially given the fact that Levy is already looking to find a replacement who fits better into Ange Postecoglou’s playing style and evolving roster.

Ultimately, Richy’s future at N17 seems increasingly bleak, and a transfer away could be the best solution for all parties involved.
