Nicolo Fagioli has struggled for regular starts at Juventus under new boss Thiago Motta
January transfer plans must have already started taking place behind the scenes at Tottenham Hotspur, as chief Daniel Levy tries to make a couple of additions to bolster the squad next month.
The Lilywhites invested well in the past transfer window, making as many as five acquisitions. However, the 2024/25 Premier League season haven’t been a smooth ride for Ange Postecoglou’s side, who currently lie seventh in the table.

A glut of injuries to key first-team players have hugely impacted Spurs’ rhythm and consistency, leaving Postecoglou and the fans frustrated. While getting players back fit would certainly improve the consistency levels, a signing or two in January may go some way in providing the boost Tottenham need to finish in the top four this season.
According to an exclusive report from GIVEMESPORT, Tottenham are set to be offered the chance to sign Juventus midfielder Nicolo Fagioli. The Serie A side are looking for offers in the region of £20million, while they have refused to rule out the possibility of accepting a proposal which falls below their valuation.
Nicolo Fagioli has struggled to work his way into new boss Thiago Motta’s plans, starting only four of 11 Serie A games this season. The Italy midfielder, who was slapped with a seven-month ban by the Italian Football Federation for breaching betting rules in October 2023, still has more than three-and-a-half years (Transfermarkt) remaining on his contract but lack of regular starting opportunities means he is now forced to contemplate his options ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
The aforementioned report adds the chiefs at the Hotspur Way along with Big Ange will consider the 23-year-old’s previous betting charges before making a concrete decision on whether to sign him from Juventus.

Plus, Spurs are expected to face competition from Premier League rivals Crystal Palace, while Juventus are set to sound out West Ham and Newcastle United of the player’s availability. Crystal Palace are considering providing Fagioli a route away from Juventus and into the Premier League for the first time in his career.

A versatile midfielder, the Italy international could add a lot of value to this Spurs side. He would be a good rotational squad option for Big Ange. Having enjoyed rich success at raiding the Italian market in recent years, the Lilywhites should try beating Palace to Fagioli’s signature.
