Tottenham Hotspur have been looking to bring in a new midfielder in the upcoming 2025 transfer intervals, with Juventus out-of-favour midfielder Nicolo Fagioli subject to links with a move to White Hart Lane.
Ange Postecoglou has been left thin in options in the middle of the park since the veteran departures of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Giovani Lo Celso in the previous summer transfer window, and now Daniel Levy is looking to compound on the options available to the Australian in the position with links to multiple maestros in the past weeks.
Juventus outcast Fagioli a potential target, but will he move to Tottenham?
Spurs have been looking at a possible winter move for the 23-year-old midfielder, with the Italian giants ready to cash in on Fagioli’s signatures. The youngster has been among the ranks at Juve since 2015; however, he hasn’t been able to make an impact in the first team as much as he would have hoped, struggling for consistent playing time.
And looking to put an end to his frustrating time at Juventus, Daniel Levy is offering the €53,462 gross per week midfielder a way out this winter; however, the way to his signatures wouldn’t be as easy as Spurs’ Premier League rivals Crystal Palace have also established interest in bringing the Italian midfielder to England, per Tutto Juve.
A potential move to Tottenham could make sense for all parties involved, given the current needs of a midfielder at N17, complemented by the fact that the 23-year-old is looking for regular first-team football to fulfil his potential.
That being said, with the Eagles in the hunt for his signatures, Tottenham will need to act fast and offer a project that shows the path of playing time to convince Fagioli that White Hart Lane is the right place for his career.
