Bayern Munich is in the midst of a bunch of contract negotiations with their players. One of the players, Leroy Sané, is in limbo as there are unconvinced individuals who believe that he’s making too much only to do so little on the pitch. Unfortunately, that’s an idea being considered:
Max Eberl and Bayern are still open to extending Leroy Sané’s contract, but on the other hand the club wants to significantly reduce his fixed salary and offer him a performance-based contract. As things stand, a decision is not expected before March/April. Bayern would consider ‘top offers’ for Sané in January, but the player is 100% committed to staying until at least the end of the season.

Thankfully, someone in the office knows that a performance-based contract is the way to go with Sané who, under four coaches, never really got to perform on a consistent basis. The 28-year-old former Manchester City winger could be sold as early as January but is most likely going to leave in the summer if no contract extension has been issued. The futures of Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry are also not safe, with focus mostly on Jamal Musiala’s new bumper contract.
