Ben Foster has made a huge claim about Cole Palmer as he continues to light up the Premier League this season.
Palmer has been nothing short of sensational since joining the Blues from Manchester City in the summer of 2023 for £42.5m.
Despite the signings of Jadon Sancho, Pedro Neto and Joao Felix over the summer, Palmer is still very much the jewel in Chelsea’s crown.
Foster makes big Palmer claim
In a short space of time Palmer has established himself as not only one of the best players in the league, but also in the world.
Palmer’s debut season was incredible with 22 goals and 11 assists, but he’s backing that up this season and already has 11 goals and six assists from 15 games.
His feats are all the more incredible considering before the start of last season he hadn’t even scored a Premier League goal and he now has 36 goals and 21 assists in just 62 appearances in all competitions for the Blues.
Gary Neville has revealed he can’t believe quite how good Palmer has been, and it really feels like the sky is the limit for the 22-year-old.
Palmer shared earlier this month he dreams of winning the Ballon d’Or and with how his career is going so far you wouldn’t bet against him.
There’s so much talent in the Premier League with the likes of Mohamed Salah and Bukayo Saka and Foster has made a big claim in regards to Palmer.
“I don’t think there’s another player in the Premier League, Mohamed Salah maybe, but there’s not another player I would want in my team more than Cole Palmer,” he said on his YouTube channel.
“What a player. He’s so, so good.”
Palmer is certainly up there with the very best and with these debates it often comes down to preference, but there’s no doubt the England international is an absolute joy to watch and the fact he’s even in these conversations shows how good he is.
