West Ham United are apparently ready to cause Tottenham Hotspur a big problem before the January window closes on deadline day.
Deadline day is fast approaching, and West Ham and Tottenham are both trying to finish the January transfer window with a flourish.
Graham Potter has already moved to strengthen his frontline at the London Stadium, with Evan Ferguson set to join the Hammers on loan.
However, Potter clearly wants more attacking reinforcements.
The problem for the Hammers head coach is that Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou is said to be chasing the same player.
The race is really heating up now as both Premier League clubs look to make a big splash in the transfer market before the window slams shut.
West Ham could hijack Tottenham transfer on deadline day
Spurs had better brace themselves for competition from the Hammers for one of their targets.
Ange Postecoglou is desperately trying to bolster his attacking ranks, and Potter doesn’t seem satisfied with the impending arrival of Evan Ferguson.
Now the two London rivals could be set to battle it out for the same player.
According to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport (print edition February 2nd, page 5), West Ham are trying to beat Tottenham to the signing of AC Milan forward Noah Okafor.
The Hammers have already been linked with a move to sign the Switzerland international over the past few weeks..
Described as ‘incredible’ by his former youth team coach (Milan Reports), the 24-year-old is an exceptional talent.

He can play on either wing, or through the middle as an orthodox centre-forward.
Okafor possesses blistering pace, incredible movement and he is a very impressive finisher, when he gets into a rhythm.
His best ever campaign came in the 2021/22 season with RB Leipzig, where he bagged 14 goals and 11 assists in 32 games (Transfermarkt).
Hopefully West Ham manage to beat Tottenham to the signing of Noah Okafor before the January window closes at 11pm on deadline day tomorrow.
It would be a major statement from the Hammers, especially after agreeing a deal to sign Evan Ferguson as well.
