West Ham United could be set to deal a major blow to Newcastle United this summer.
That’s because the Hammers are said to be eyeing up a move to hijack one of Newcastle’s key transfer targets.
Graham Potter has so much work to do in the transfer market at West Ham this summer.
And the same can be said for Newcastle boss Eddie Howe at St James’ Park.
The Hammers are said to be lining up some hugely exciting summer deals, including an ambitious move to sign Jonathan David.
Newcastle are in the market for some statement signings as well.
Both West Ham and Newcastle need to add some real power, pace and energy to their central midfield ranks.
However, it seems like the Hammers could try to beat the Toon to one of their key signings in the summer transfer window.
Blow for Newcastle as West Ham try to hijack Yunus Musah deal
AC Milan star Yunus Musah could be set for a summer exit from San Siro it seems.
According to a report from MilanLive, Newcastle want to sign Musah, but West Ham have now thrown their hat into the ring for his signature.
And he is up for grabs for around £25 million by all accounts.
West Ham actually tied to sign Yunus Musah from Valencia in the summer of 2023, but he ended up joining Milan instead.
The 45-capped USMNT international is exactly the type of player West Ham should be trying to sign this summer.

The 22-year-old central midfielder is an absolute powerhouse, and he possesses the energy, dynamism, athleticism and ball-carrying ability that we so desperately crave right now.
Newcastle in for two West Ham targets
The Hammers would be securing a huge coup if they manage to pull off a deal for Musah.
However, the Magpies could get their own back on us.
That’s because Eddie Howe allegedly wants to sign West Ham targets Liam Delap and Jonathan David this summer.
It may be a case of the Hammers beating the Toon to one signing, but Howe getting one up on Potter by winning the race for a couple of his targets as well.
That said, signing Yunus Musah should be a priority for West Ham in the summer window, so no matter what else happens, I’ll be delighted if the American ends up joining us.
Especially for just £25 million!
