Enzo Millot has confirmed his ambition to take the next step in his career, with Arsenal monitoring the Stuttgart star’s €20m release clause ahead of a possible summer move.
Enzo Millot is preparing for the next step in his career, and Arsenal are watching closely. The VfB Stuttgart attacking midfielder, who has a €20 million release clause, has openly admitted that he is considering a move this summer, putting several clubs, including Arsenal and Tottenham, on high alert.
Speaking during a press conference with France’s U21 squad, Millot did not hide his ambition. “A departure? Yes, of course, this is a goal that I set for myself. To be able to take a step forward,” he said.
However, he was deliberately vague about whether that step would come this summer or further down the line.
That decision may not be entirely in his hands.

Stuttgart, currently in a battle for European qualification, are aware that Millot’s contract allows him to leave if a club activates his clause. Arsenal, who have been monitoring his progress, are expected to be among the contenders, with reports suggesting that Tottenham and clubs in Saudi Arabia have also expressed interest.
Scouts from Al-Nassr have been spotted watching him in recent weeks.
For now, Millot insists his focus remains on the remainder of the season with VfB Stuttgart, despite the growing transfer speculation. “VfB is a club that promotes young players well. I feel comfortable there. It wouldn’t be a failure at all to stay,” he said, leaving the door open to all possibilities.

His recent performances have shown why top clubs are circling. After enduring a nine-game goal drought, Millot has rediscovered his form, registering assists in back-to-back matches against Kiel and Bayer Leverkusen.
Against Leverkusen, he was one of Stuttgart’s standout performers, reminding potential suitors of his creative ability and technical quality. In total, he has eight goals and seven assists in 37 appearances this season.
Whether he remains in Germany or takes the leap to the Premier League, Millot is clearly a player on the rise. Arsenal, in particular, are in the market for midfield reinforcements, and with a reasonable release clause in place, the 22-year-old could prove to be an attractive option.
The final decision, though, will rest with Millot – and the club willing to make the first move.
His contract expires in 2028.
