Inter Miami talent Benjamin Cremaschi has emerged as a target for Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou has faced problems keeping his squad fit and firing this season. The persistent injury problems have not allowed the team to progress in his second season at White Hart Lane.
Another issue the Australian tactician has faced is assembling a reliable midfield capable of executing his high-octane, aggressive and pressing style of play. None of Yves Bissouma, Rodrigo Bentancur or James Maddison have been consistent. Only joining the club last July, Lucas Bergvall has slowly but steadily made his way into the first XI.
This shows Ange Postecoglou’s faith in young talents is paying dividends and the club should continue their strategy of investing in them rather than splash millions on readymade superstars.
According to a report from TEAMtalk, Inter Miami’s young midfielder Benjamin Cremaschi is on the shortlist of Tottenham.
A product of the MLS side Inter Miami’s academy, Benjamin Cremaschi has become a key part of their first team this season. The youngster has been one of the team’s standout performers, sharing the pitch and learning the tricks of the trade from arguably the greatest player on the planet, Lionel Messi.
One of the most promising young talents in the American market today, the 20-year-old has racked up seven goals and as many assists in 76 appearances for Inter Miami thus far. Cremaschi has earned glowing praise from Messi, with MLS expert Matt Doyle stating that the 2022 World Cup winner ‘loves’ playing with the young playmaker.
However, Tottenham are not alone in the chase for the American’s signature. The likes of Manchester City, Newcastle United and Brighton and Hove Albion are also keeping tabs on the Florida-born talent, who despite having Argentinean roots chose to represent the United States. And he has started his USMNT career very well under our former boss Mauricio Pochettino, playing three times.

Cremaschi, with his potential and technical ability, could become Tottenham’s next astute investment, continuing Levy’s strategy of uncovering hidden gems. He combines technical skill with tactical intelligence and versatility, offering the Spurs boss a solution to their midfield conundrum. At such a young age, the three-cap USA international possesses great passing range that allows him to pull strings from the middle of the park and break opponents’ lines of pressing.

Due to his age and skill set, the Hotspur Way chiefs could view the Inter Miami talent as a potential replacement for Bissouma. All in all, the Lilywhites must not hesitate to raid the American market for Cremaschi, who could turn out to be a long-term valuable investment. And if Spurs come calling this summer, it is understood that Cremaschi would find it difficult to turn down a move.
