Everton are behind a secret plot to unsettle and sign a West Ham star and the reaction of fans will stun David Moyes.
It’s been a terrible season for West Ham and Everton with very few highlights.
But arguably two of the biggest for both sets of fans involve David Moyes.
Some Hammers fans were bracing themselves to be force-fed a large slice of humble when they went to Everton last weekend.
All the talk ahead of the game was about the big Moyes reunion.
The way things ended for the Scot in east London, and the manner in which he has completely revitalised the Toffees, meant Moyes would have been within his rights to make things awkward for David Sullivan and co.
But Moyes showed true class towards his old club.
Before the game he said he would find it difficult facing the Hammers after their great times together.
Moyes also spoke fondly about the fans and players he ‘shares a close bond with’.
West Ham fans showed Moyes what they really think of him, with chants during the 1-1 draw.
Moyes shared his true feelings on Hammers supporters after the game.
But relations are all sweetness and light on the surface, there is some scheming going on beneath.
That’s according to West Ham fans who are convinced of an Everton plot to unsettle and sign Tomas Soucek.
West Ham fans convinced of Everton Soucek plot
And the reaction of some Hammers supporters will leave Moyes stunned.
Soucek has been linked with a move to Everton this summer.
By his own admission, the towering Czech is one of Moyes’ favourite ever signings.
With West Ham desperate to raise funds due to PSR, it is not beyond the realms of possibility Soucek could be sold.
Souek was crowned Czech player of the year for the fourth time this week and remains a key player for West Ham.
He has had his doubters in recent seasons, though.
Many predicted Soucek would be one of the first casualties when both Julen Lopetegui and Graham Potter were appointed.
The 30-year-old was even ridiculously jeered a couple of seasons ago when substituted during a difficult spell for him and the team.
Soucek has since admitted it hurt him deeply.
After another goal against Everton, Soucek has seven for the season.
Before heading off for England duty, captain Jarrod Bowen told fans and the club Soucek needs to be appreciated more at West Ham.
This weekend a new report has emerged from Claret and Hugh claiming Soucek is attracting interest from an ‘unnamed Premier League club’ ahead of the summer transfer window.
Said club are reportedly offering the Hammers midfielder £120k per week to join them.
Given the recent links, West Ham supporters unsurprisingly suspect Moyes and Everton are behind the ‘mystery’ plan.
But the reaction of West Ham fans to the news will shock their Everton counterparts and former manager Moyes.

And it may just see him press ahead with the plans, if indeed it is Everton behind them.
Because many West Ham fans on social media believe ‘It’s time to move on’ from Soucek.
Given what Soucek has done – and continues to do – for the Hammers, one might think all fans would be desperate to see him stay.
But many feel the club should sell to Everton if they get a satisfactory offer.
Some believe it is Soucek’s agent using Moyes being at Everton to try and get his client and improved contract.
Fan reaction will stun Moyes – ‘It’s time’
“Pep (Guardiola) is chasing his new man,” one West Ham fan said in a dig at Soucek.
A second Hammer said: “It’s Everton definitely.”
Another supporter concurred, adding: “In other words, Everton. Time to move on.”
A host of others agreed with one fan stating: “Unnamed club who wear blue and white from Merseyside!”
One West Ham fan thinks the club will never get a better opportunity to get some decent money in for Soucek, saying: “I know people don’t want to sell him. But I don’t see any opportunity to gain some half decent cash at the moment. Between £25-30 million and we are walking away with some great funds to buy someone younger who can dominate the midfield. Even selling Guido (Rodriguez) and (Edson) Alvarez or (Andy) Irving!”
One Hammers fan said if the story is accurate then it is definitely the Toffees, but thinks there may be something else at play.
He said: “If it is a club, then it’s definitely Everton. However, I believe this will be agent play for a new contract.
One cited Soucek’s advancing years and lack of pace as a reason to cash in if Everton come calling, adding: “He’s not getting any younger and we desperately need pace in the middle. A great servant, but I’d cash in if the price was right.”
A fellow West Ham fan agreed, saying: “Love the man great servant an all but it’s time to cash in unfortunately we need upgrade on his position.”
Speaking of cashing in, one popular West Ham account even ran a poll on how much fans would take to sell Soucek to Everton.
West Ham Transfers asked fans: “Soucek rumoured to be wanted by an unnamed Premier League club (my guess is Everton) How much would you take for him? I’d happily take £25m.”
The results of the poll, which had nearly 2,000 votes at the time of writing, saw nearly half of supporters say they’d be happy with between £30-35m for their joint-top goalscorer.
