Tottenham accelerate their plans to sign Southampton attacker Tyler Dibling
Tottenham Hotspur are expected to be in the market for attackers when the summer transfer window comes around.
Spurs are reportedly planning to offload Son Heung-min, Richarlison and Timo Werner at the end of the season. Should the experienced trio leave, the club will have to replace them adequately in the squad. And it looks like Daniel Levy is looking to stick with his newly adapted transfer policy of bringing in young players with huge potential who have the capacity to become a mainstay at Hotspur Way for years to come.
The Lilywhites have been among the clubs keen on signing Southampton talent Tyler Dibling. They were keen on signing the teenager during the winter transfer window but Southampton were reluctant to let him leave amid their fight against relegation.
Tyler Dibling has been charming the fans with his performances for Southampton. He has perhaps been the only player to hold his head high during a season that has been forgettable, impressing everyone with his skill set but also with his ability to create chaos in the opposition’s backline.
Now, according to an exclusive report from GIVEMESPORT, Tottenham have been doing groundwork on a deal to sign Dibling from the Saints following his impressive breakout season in the Premier League. As Southampton are doomed for the drop to the Championship, Spurs are looking to get ahead of other clubs showing interest in the England youth international.
The Exeter-born prodigy, viewed ‘as one of the key targets’ by the Hotspur Way chiefs, has certainly shown signs of inconsistency which is natural for a teenager but the massive potential is there for everyone to see. Dibling would bring something different than the current crop of Tottenham attackers, thanks to his ball-carrying ability, a burst of acceleration and ability to break down low blocks.

The aforementioned report adds the Englishman will seek a fresh challenge away from the St. Mary’s Stadium should Southampton drop to the Championship, which is now looking increasingly likely. He would certainly fit into the category of signings the Lilywhites have been targeting in recent years, potentially enhancing the club’s collection of young and dynamic talents.

Dibling fits seamlessly into everything that Tottenham have been trying to build under Ange Postecoglou, given he is young, exciting, and can bring a lot of tactical variability and flair into the roster.
Thus, it is great to see the club chiefs doing groundwork on a deal to bring the Southampton kid to N17 as he has the raw tools to become an astute long-term investment.
