Man United have eyes on Juventus striker, Dusan Vlahovic.
A new striker has been the top priority for Manchester United heading into the summer. That is no secret.
Several names have been linked. No doubt many more will follow before the right signing is made. Harry Kane appears to be the top priority. It makes sense given the sheer amount of goals he’s scored ever since becoming Tottenham’s regular striker.
However, United are doing their due diligence and keeping their options open. The latest story comes from journalist, Nicolo Schira. He believes the Reds are still keen on signing Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic.
According to the Italian, United have the 23-year-old in their ‘sights’, and they have since March. Bayern Munich are also keen on the man from Serbia.
It’s believed that his poor relationship with Juve manager, Massimiliano Allegri, could lead to a transfer away from Turin this summer. If Allegri remains in charge, a ‘farewell’ will likely happen for Vlahovic.
This is an avenue definitely worth exploring. Vlahovic is a superb player, while he’s also the ideal stylistic fit for this current system.
Goals, assists, hold-up play, a hard worker. The Serbian would add an awful lot to this front line from day one, while he wouldn’t come with the English premium that Kane would…
Beating out competition from Bayern will not be easy. After all, a move to Bavaria is a guarantee of trophies. There’s also a good chance he’ll remain in Turin, with Vlahovic seemingly enjoying life at Juventus (aside from his differences with the manager).
If the price is right, this could be an astute piece of business, assuming United and Ten Hag want to firm up their interest with an official bid.
