Jadon Sancho form has meant that the Englishman’s place at Man United is by far from a guarantee…
A few years ago, when Manchester United signed Jadon Sancho, big things were (rightly) expected. The Englishman came with a large transfer fee and plenty of hype. Sadly, that hasn’t been lived up to.
Inconsistencies haven’t helped. He’s struggled with off the field stuff, too. The talent is so obviously there, which makes this situation somewhat sad.
A few days ago, TEAMTalk quietly provided a little update on Sancho, with some of their information coming from German outlet Bild.
They’ve been told that the 23-year-old’s United future is ‘not certain’ following his poor form. That on-field performance has been taken into account and not being overlooked by the club.
TEAMTalk believe there is ‘meat on the bone’ in regard to a Borussia Dortmund return, which would make an awful lot of sense at this point in time.
In the event that United do give the green light to cash in on Sancho, his former employers are in control of the race.
Sancho racked up 76 goal contributions in two seasons at Dortmund. In the same timeframe at United, he’s registered just eighteen.
I like Sancho a lot. He’s a talented young man, though it hasn’t quite worked out for him here so far. He looked a little lost in the FA Cup final, with the occasion feeling a little too big for the winger. You cannot shy away from that challenge as a professional footballer.
If United can recoup a large portion of the fee they paid to sign Sancho, then a deal could make sense, particularly as Alejandro Garnacho continues to impress over on that left-hand side.
