Ilkay Gundogan reveals he still hasn’t made a decision on his Man City future after lifting three trophies in three weeks with the German’s contract set to expire at the end of June
Ilkay Gundogan says he is yet to decide on his future after leading Manchester City to the Champions League trophy.
The Cityzens’ victory over Inter Milan on Saturday night completed a famous treble following earlier victories in the FA Cup and Premier League.
However, Gundogan has not yet made up his mind on whether he will sign a new deal at the Etihad amid interest from Barcelona.
He is seen as a suitable replacement for Sergio Busquets, who is leaving the Nou Camp after 18 years.
The midfielder said after the game he ‘hasn’t decided’ where he will be playing his football next season.

He has been instrumental in a season that has seen them match local rivals Man United in winning the treble
He has been a key player for City in the latter part of the season, scoring twice in last week’s FA Cup final win over Man United and managing 11 goals across the season.
Speaking after City’s season-defining win in Istanbul, Gundogan said: ‘We knew everyone was talking about the Treble, especially after the FA Cup. The pressure was there but this team is built to handle the pressure in best possible way.
‘In the Champions League final it will always be difficult for both teams. We weren’t at our best in the first-half. We were hesitating. We had some good chances but knew we had to do better in the second, which we did.
‘It was probably a 50-50 game in which one goal made the difference. We are very fortunate it was for us.’
City’s victory means they have now matched their arch-rivals Man United in winning the three biggest trophies in one season.
It also means Manchester is just the second history in Europe, after Milan, to boast two Champions League winning clubs.
Despite bagging an emphatic winner after the break, Rodri felt he played ‘s***’ in the first half and begged the manager to stay on.
It ended up being an excellent night for the Spaniard, although his teammate Kevin De Bruyne had less of an impact after being subbed off with an injury in the first half.
