Lisandro Martinez has returned to the AON Training Complex following his injury.
Manchester United Football Club had a tough end to the 2022/23 campaign, largely following the injury suffered by Lisandro Martinez.
The Argentine was ruled out for the season pretty swiftly after suffering the problem, with fan concern immediately turning towards the 2023/24 campaign.
Thankfully, United have always maintained the belief that Licha would be back fit in time for the start of play next term.
Well, the man himself has now spoken out, with the United star making his Carrington return following injury. As you’d expect, he announced that he was ‘so happy’ to be back.
This feels like the next stage in his rehab, just a fortnight or so away from the player’s return for pre-season tour. Timing-wise, it probably couldn’t be any better.

We’re big believers in pre-season being a huge component. Martinez absolutely has to get the minutes in the tank, in order to start the season as close to 100% as possible.
Thankfully, it looks as though he’s on course to be a full participant in pre-season, which is massive not only physically, but mentally too.
The partnership Martinez built with Raphael Varane truly was a thing of beauty. The pair cover each others weaknesses nicely and as time went on, they looked more and more comfortable. It’s why I was a tad shocked to see United pursuing Kim Min-jae so fiercely.
Martinez is now looking in a good place, so let’s just hope he can pick up where he left off, as the form he was displaying just before his injury was up there with the best defenders in the country.
Welcome back, Licha!
