Man United are in talks over the signing of Rasmus Hojlund, with Erik ten Hag wanting to sign another attacker.
Manchester United have added one player so far, with Mason Mount the latest recruit. However, Erik ten Hag has further plans, as he looks to turn this Red Devils side into serial winners.
Among the big needs is a guaranteed goalscorer. Harry Kane was the dream signing, though that move looks to be dead in the water.
The Manchester Evening News have offered an update on the Reds’ pursuit of a forward, claiming that Ten Hag’s wants an ‘out-and-out striker’ during this transfer window.
According to the report, United have held discussions behind the scenes, over potentially signing 20-year-old forward, Rasmus Hojlund.
The young Dane is United’s prime target to fill the striker void, after he enjoyed an impressive season with Atalanta over in the Serie A.
United haven’t completely closed the door on Kane, with the club ‘monitoring’ the Englishman’s situation, in case Daniel Levy suddenly becomes receptive to selling the player due to his winding down contract.
Kolo Muani is another name mentioned, with the 24-year-old Eintracht Frankfurt man also coming off the back of a superb season.
It seems like Hojlund is now the main objective for the United gaffer. The young man has to be viewed as somewhat of a gamble, though, as he’s still learning his trade as a professional footballer.
He looked super sharp last season, while you’d expect him to continue to improve, though moving to a new league and learning a new system is never easy, particularly when he’s still a baby in footballing terms.
