Man United are still feeling comfortable about Marcus Rashford’s future, despite the fact he’s not signed a new deal.
Manchester United owed a lot to Marcus Rashford last season. Quite frankly, his goals and assists were absolutely vital in both our Carabao Cup run and top four Premier League finish.
The Red Devils would be lost without their homegrown hero, though his future is still somewhat up in the air as he’s yet to put pen on paper on a new long-term contract here in Manchester.
There has been plenty of talk about Rashford and his contract, without any real substance whatsoever.
TalkSPORT have provided another update on the situation, claiming that United are ‘relaxed’ about the future of the key star, despite the fact he’s yet to sign a new deal.
Rashford’s current contract expires in less than a year, though according to the article, he’s ‘close’ to signing on the dotted line and committing his future to his boyhood club.
The Englishman has been attracting heavy interest from PSG, who could look to replace Kylian Mbappe up top.
However, Erik ten Hag’s arrival in Manchester seems to have reignited the fire in Rashford’s belly. He’s coming off the back of his best season in Reds colours, looking like he’s enjoying life here once again.
At this point in time, I’d feel pretty good about United’s chances of getting Rashford to commit. There has been some talk suggesting he’d prefer to wait to see what happens with club ownership before making it official, which does make sense.
I would prefer to see the deal done before the season starts, purely so Rashy can focus solely on his football.
