Our confirmed MUFC XI for the first game of pre-season vs Leeds United is now in.
It doesn’t feel like too long ago since Manchester United were playing competitive fixtures. Yet, after the summer break, we’re already back here again.
Erik ten Hag has made just the one signing so far, though come the start of the serious stuff, you’d suspect things will look very different. This pre-season will continue to shape the trajectory of this side, with the gaffer using this as an opportunity to get a real look at his players.
The gaffer named a youthful 26-man party for this Leeds United game. It was always to be expected, given the fact that players will return to training on a staggered basis.
Well, the team news is now in and a few of those lads will get the opportunity to impress from the off. There’s also a full debut for Mason Mount. I am super excited to see him in action.
Anyway, let’s give you the full rundown of the United line-up.
Check out our confirmed MUFC XI vs Leeds United in full here:
Tom Heaton is actually the first choice keeper right now, so it’s good to see him getting some minutes.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka plays at right-back, with the Englishman hoping to continue his good form. Over on the left, Alvaro Fernandez gets the nod. Lisandro Martinez is back from injury and in the team, with Raphael Varane making up the back four.
Kobbie Mainoo plays in midfield, making his first start for United. Another man who is starting for the Reds for the first time is Mason Mount. Hannibal will complete the midfield.
Amad makes an appearance from the off, with us all keen to see how he’ll get on. Jadon Sancho operates off the other flank, with Forson looking like playing in that false nine position.
