Andre Onana has played his part in Man United training for the first time since joining.
Manchester United have made some good progress off the field during this summer transfer window. Mason Mount was added early. Andre Onana followed a few days ago.
The man from Cameroon will become United’s new number one goalkeeper for the upcoming season, bringing with him a big personality and even bolder style of play.
Erik ten Hag has worked with the 27-year-old previously, during their time together at Ajax. The duo enjoyed great success as part of that team together, winning multiple trophies and playing with real style.
Now, Onana is a Red Devil. The first photos of the shot-stopper playing in his new team colours have emerged – and it’s great to see him getting stuck in straight away.

The importance of a good pre-season cannot be understated. Onana will now have at least a few matches to get familiar with his new teammates. They’ll be able to learn each other’s style of play, working hard to form that understanding and bond.
That should lead to a partnership already being formed, so they’re not working on that connection in the heat of Premier League battle.
I don’t think we all understand the significance of this signing. Onana’s addition will completely transform the way we play the game. More possession should lead to more chances being created for Ten Hag’s side. What we lose in shot-stopping from De Gea will be made up for at the other end with (hopefully) more goals being scored.
It’s good to see you out there, Andre!
